    Noob AR Question

I am not a noob to firearms, but am to AR's. The anti-gun CA state legislature finally motivated me to make the purchase.

I have an Anderson AM15 in jail. It is "skeletonized," like this: https://www.classicfirearms.com/ande...ed-rifle-16035 meaning it comes without furniture or sights.

I would like to put a forearm like the Magpul MOE: https://www.magpul.com/products/moe-...carbine-length

LGS employee told me that the Anderson rifle I am buying has low-profile gas port and not front sight, so this hand guard would not fit without additional parts and that it would be "easier" to put on a free floating handguard.

I checked the Magpull website and it does say the front site is required for the "slim" hand guard: https://www.magpul.com/products/moe-...length-ar15-m4

If it is already set up to free float with a low pro block do yourself a favor and spend the $140 on a decent tube. I like the ones from Midwest Industries the best, but there are a lot of good ones out there.

It's not if you had looked into the product. OP yes a standard MOE handguard would mount up.

Odds are it's just magpul being lazy with the description, since having the delta ring and handguard cap with a low profile gas block isn't really a common configuration. Seeing as how it's low profile, but doesn't appear to have goofy tactical rails sticking out of it everywhere(I'm talking about the gas block), or some other weird shape to it, it'll probably be fine.

Well he stated it has a lp gas block. And if he's such a noon to AR'S I didn't really trust him to link the correct rifle he bought tbh.

Straight answer to your question is, yes the Magpul handguards will work with extra modifications needed. You'll need Carbine length
