Marking Safe and Fire on a 80% Lower

I'm looking for DIY ideas on how to mark safe/fire on a 80% lower build. I'm not wanting to get any other markings done, so I don't feel like having it laser engraved for just this. Just wondering what some of you guys have done.

One idea I have is to use my drill press and make a dimple in the safe/fire positions and color fill them with red and white paint.

    That is a good idea.

I thought about a couple small stickers on clear plastic and then clear coat over them, but I don't know if it would look stupid.

My 80% is unmarked, but already finished and my OLL has factory marks that do not line up with the positions I use for my safety, so I had the same question as the OP.

On my rifles, when the selector lever is down and in the way of the trigger finger, it is safe, and a flick up and forward puts it into fire and also gets the lever out of the way of the trigger finger. I know how it works, but others don't if they are running me in a competition or shooting the rifle themselves.

Some on here have drilled a small dimple where it would normally be marked SAFE and FIRE and color-fill the dimple.
