Oh, nice. I will have to check out their CV location. Thanks for that info!

OP, if Milpitas isn't out of your way, he has the cheapest transfer fee in the bay. Rob will take care of you.

Fairfield pawn charges 45$ for dros and background check + CA tax, if you're in north bay it's worth paying the bridge toll x 2 versus other more expensive FFL.

Do you happen to know the transfer fees for Solar?

Back when that store was Bullseye and during the great panic of 2013, they charged me $180 to transfer a lower.

Glad to hear that store closed down.

I just called Solar a few minutes ago. They want $150 for a transfer. Blegh. Someone else recommended Fairfield Pawn, and I'm going to second that recommendation. I just gave them a call to double check against their website. $45 to transfer a lower if I get it shipped there. $20 paperwork fee per lower, $25 DROS.

Third for Kevin smith, his hours are a bit lean, but I won't do a transfer through anyone else, he's also the cheapest in my area inspite of him recently raising his transfer fees.

Peter Skinner at Mount Pleasant Arms in San Jose. He is by appointment only and his hours are evenings and Saturday mornings. It works great for me but maybe not for everyone. Peter is very knowledgeable and the absolute answer to all the FUD. If its legal, he will tell you how to do it, and if its not, he will tell you why. Cheaper than most also.

This. $50 transfers and he's really fast/efficient. I'm always in and out of there in three minutes, tops.

Roger and Lisa at Roger's Relics are great guys but they recently jacked up prices to $65 + DROS, which put them in the same price category as highest prices local gun shops, you can still find FFL transfers <= $40 here locally, so they are not competitive at all any more. It was my mistake that I did not check current prices with them before ordering 3 rifles to be shipped to them. Also I have specifically arranged 3 rifles to be shipped to them at the same time, did all paperwork on the same DROS and picked up everything together and they still charged me $65 for EACH rifle. Most FFL guys are charging "additional fee" for transfers on the same DROS. End to end, I'm out of pocket for $100+. While I like Roger and Lisa doing business with them does not make sense to me anymore.

UG imports in Fremont. You can yelp them to get an idea.

Farwest Photography in Santa Clara. $40 for a gun, $25 for a receiver (+$25 DROS on either).
