Did the manufacturer send you a receiver with the same serial number and not take the other one back first? That is a huge liability on their part.

so this was a serialized, 100% lower? is it the same serial number as your new one?

how were you playing with it?

Whats wrong with it? If the gun was registered after 1/15 if memory recalls correctly and you destroy / sell it out of state , you need to let doj know and there is a form for that. Otherwise just crush it or cut it up.

Federal law does not allow for a replacement receiver to be made with the same SN. They sent him a new one to his FFL and he had to dros it.

Machine guns - three pieces with angle cut + receiver chunks missing.

Semi auto - Single cut in half

sounds like it is good as far as cutting it up..... if it is newer, you need to send DOJ paperwork saying it was destroyed. They have a form for that

I was asking exactly how he damaged it that it needed to be replaced.

I was trying to drill and tap the stripped bolt catch screw, the drill bit twisted and i made a big hole (tunnel) unable to save it. Of course I can still use it without the bolt catch (Work like an AK not locking back after the last round) but I went ahead and just got me a new one.

save it for the gun buy back program. glued it back together and reassemble with airsoft parts.
