    BCM Upper

    Hey Everyone!

First time AR builder here. Going to purchase a complete upper from BCM with 16" barrel. Just wondering if I needed to pin and weld the compensator that comes with the upper or is it fine as is? Thanks!

Not needed. Only on 14.5 inch barrels.
What upper are you planning to get?

Great choice. Best Bang for the buck IMO.
I went with 16" enhanced lightweight fluted with 15" rail. Light and accurate.

If i could go back i would get the 14.5' enhanced lightweight fluted with 13" rail. 1.5" makes so much difference. Feels so much shorter when shooting my friends 14.5'

I actually think just the opposite; BCM products are the same level of quality as the TOP TIER manufactures, but at a CHEAPER price.

If you are comparing their products to LOW TIER manufacturers, then yes, they are expensive. but you are also purchasing a lessor product.

You may buy a PSA, Del Ton, Rock River, Anderson or S&W AR rifle and find yourself someday saying, "Man, I wish should have bought a BCM!"!

You will NEVER buy a BCM and find yourself saying, "Man, I wish should have bought a PSA, Del Ton, Rock River, Anderson, S&W!"!

Buy the most expensive reputable AR rifle your money can buy. Your life may depend on it someday!

Yup. The cheap stuff has been around for a while now and it works just as well as the "high speed, top tier, mall ninja" stuff.

^Yeah, I agree with this post. I have two BCM uppers and I haven't wished I'd bought ANYTHING else. And I have never had regret over what I spent on the BCM stuff either.

However, I have had serious regret when I bought PSA parts. So there you go.

I really like the KMR rails too, I have two, funny neither one is on a BCM upper, I love the KMR.

sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

As someone who has had issues with cheap ars but not BCM or DD, respectfully disagree. But I also shokt 1 to 2k out of my ars a month and they get shot by friends too

saying BCM is overpriced is like saying Springfield 1911 Operator is overpriced compared to a Rock Island Armory.
