    80% .308 Lower Mega MA-TEN compatible

Are there any 80% .308 lowers that are compatible with the Mega MA-TEN upper?

As far as I know, any Armalite pattern lower will work (NOT dpms pattern, which is the most common)

Nevermind, found this on their website:

note that MATEN receivers are only compatible with other MATEN receivers.

You could try emailing them to see if they can make you an 80% lower, but I kind of doubt it's worth it to them to one-off a single receiver for someone

Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Trying to avoid building a whole new .308 just to have an 80%... The Mega MA-TEN build I did is very nice and $$$$$... Ugh... How many rifles will fit in my safe?

It's not so bad if it's just the rifle.. But then I want the glass that goes with it and the investment basically doubles....

Use this build as an excuse to practice your iron-sight shooting!

I've looked this up before and it is my understanding the MaTen upper will fit onto a DPMS lower but you will end up with a gap between the two. It works, it just isn't pretty. The MaTen upper is angled behind the rear takedown pin but the DPMS is rounded.

It will fit Genesis gen 2 80%. People have run the uppers on KAC / LMT lowers. The upper will not match even close cosmetically on anything other than the mega. The people who have run them, have basically shoehorned them on the lowers or swapped to smaller take down pins.

That angle vs. round difference looks pretty serious.

Even if it works, I think it will be so sloppy and the profiles will be so drastically different, that you'd never want to do it. In my opinion.

That looks really bad. Doesn't even look like the bolt/buffer really line up.

Not to mention all the damage from being set down on the carpet.
