    first post nails it...

aside from that if you are mechanically inclined and want a weekend project to be proud of. Buy a stripped lower from any gun shop..any lower will do. Just look for the picto-graph on the side ..if you like it, that is it. Then order a rifle kit of your choice from any number of sources.

you have about 4 months... prices may dip for July 4th sales, but that is it... By September when people realize Trump isnt going to be winning and Hilary WILL BE ... the panic will begin.

        a $700 AR15 will be going for $1500+
        5.56 ammo will be $1.50 a round
.22lr will be close to .75 a round

trying to find parts to assemble a gun will be a nightmare...

Stock up on BCGs... a $75 BCG will get you $150 in October and if Hilary wins...$250 in December.

Triple A's is GTG. Talk to Herman. Consider a S&W M&P Sport or Colt 6920. Either will serve you well.

Did some research and budsgunshop has a few things like the m&p sport that looks enticing. I plan on calling around to see if some shops have it in stock and get the price range. And like Draco said, i may buy a stripped lower to just hold onto in case and build onto that later. I really appreciate all the advice from you all by the way.

Can't go wrong w/ building your own OP. Any milspec lower brand of your choosing and a quality LPK you're gtg. Buy a complete upper and you're done. This is the route I took and am completely satisfied.
