Can I use the removable stock feature on my saiga?

I just received my legion saiga sporter rifle that has the removable stock, push the button and the whole stock comes off for storage. legion shipped it to me with the button tacked welded to prevent use, they said it had to be shipped to ca. that way. If the rifle is still over 30" overall length with the stock removed is there any law against storing it that way? The rifle could be fired with the stock removed.

Yes. Over 30" means you are GTG.
