    Linear Compensators for ARs

With the Levang no longer being made, it seems there are only a couple of options. I can only seem to find the Kaw Valley for about $55 then the Hera Arms at $130+ (which is sold out everywhere anyway). Then there's the Amazon/eBay options that I'm always hesitant to buy...

Does anybody have a suggestion for a good linear comp for a 7.5" AR pistol?

Check this out before you spend the money on a China made copy through ebay or Amazon. I've got one on my .300 blkout pistol and I am very pleased with its performance.

I recently picked up a thordsen customs blast shield. To me it works just as good as my Troy claymore for directing blast and sound forward.

Bonus points for being made in the USA, at a low price.

I have the kaw valley comp and it works well along with being very slim and compact. You can also check ar15performance.com for some good comps

And the muzzle blast looks like the afterburner on an SR71[IMG][/IMG]

Thanks for all the input folks! I'm actually looking for something the size of the KX3, ID like to fill some empty space in the handguard. Also needs to be at least 1.5" long. Probably should have mentioned that in my original post.

The KAK as MB mentioned is a logical choice. 25$ , made in California , and available in multiple thread sizes.

I have a KAW Valley that works well and isn't very heavy. Price point is nice.

I just picked up a Claymore to try too.

                          Griffin Armament makes one.

Surefire makes a QD blast shield that should be like the Thorsden mentioned above.

Primary Weapons Systems makes one too.

I have a Troy Claymore on my 7.5". The reason was it's far less weight than the Levang. Looks sort of mean too. I also have the directional arrow on top.

The Levang works better than most of the linears I use here. I can shoot .22LR outdoors without plugs. Can't do that with any of the others.

I've pretty much settled on the Kaw Valley, but does anybody have any experience with this one from kinetitech?
