a regular A2 flash hider has clearance for 9mm and is 1/2-28. There is really no need for a compensator/MB on a PCC.

I have done a lot of business with JSE Surplus. Check out their selection of flash hiders.

Yeah I'm looking for something like a A2 more for the length so I can keep the stock in the shortest spot to get to 30" OAL.

Buy any correct thread brake and drill the front open. Works like a charm.

Nice but whoa can't afford out of my budget. I'll be happy with the correct thread A2 birdcage in 9mm 1/2x28.

As was already stated a2 FH has internal clearance for 9mm ,just go buy one. No need to look for a 9mm a2 FH. There really is no need for a compensator because there isn't any muzzle blast to compensate. Most of the recoil and muzzle rise on a 9mm AR comes from the heavy bolt cycling.

I think I'm going to drill out an old A2 birdcage with my tabletop drill press. What is the standard amount of clearance between bullet and flash hider? I'm planning on using a 3/8ths drill bit (3/8=.375, 9mm=.354), but I'm unsure if the extra .02" will reduce the effectiveness of the flash hider's primary function. Any input?

I have a spare one just don't know what size bit and best way to drill one out. I don't have access to a table top press so this might be challenging. Also if anyone has time and can make one I'd be willing to pay for one. PM me.
