204 Ruger, benefit of longer barrel length?

    204 Ruger, benefit of longer barrel length?

    Considering a White Oak 204 Ruger varmint upper and wonder how much benefit I would get out of a 26 inch barrel vs a 20 inch barrel? Will the velocity increase benefit out weigh the extra weight and the possible hassle of the extra length? Will the extra inches improve accuracy? Will mostly be shooting off a bench of tripod with it. Any experience members have advice on this?
