    BUIS question

Do i need to match the front and rear BUIS if I want an accurate sight picture?

Sorry if this seems stupid, but I really don't know one way or another

Currently running DD fixed sights, but ive removed my rear for a folding Magpul MBUS rear to accommodate my scope.

      You're fine.

The exception would be if one sight is not the standard height. That's really unusual. Troy Micros, meant for rifles with a higher-than-normal top rail like the HK416, are an example. As far as I know everything DD and Magpul make is the standard height.

You need to be careful when you mix and match BUIS systems mounted in front.

A fixed A2 style FSB must be marked with an F to be installed on a flat top, while the non-F marked needs to be installed on an upper with a fixed carry handle.

Folding front BUIS come in 2 hieghts, Gas block and Handrail. Installing a gas block on a handrail and the sight will be too high. Installing a handrail on a gas block and it will be too low.

Magpul are NOT rated for gas block (due to heat melting plastic) so they are all Handrail sized.

Rear MBUS all good on all.

Im running a flattop upper, so all good on that count. I know for a fact that the heights are all correct
