QC10 or NFA for glock mag AR?

    hello everyone.

i'm building a 9mm AR that uses glock magazines. for those familiar with the quarter circle 10 and new frontier armory glock mag lowers, which is the better lower in your opinion?

    thanks.

I would go NFA, mainly because price. Also how would you go about attaching a bullet button onto these lowers? Just curious.

The last round hold open on the QC10 is junk, so just don't use that criteria for your decision in my opinion, as many tout that factor. The QC10 BHO just is so bad in inherent design that it just doesn't stand a chance at good reliability across a variety of mags. I'd rather have no bolt hold open over one that works some times and other times not. HK MP5 owners and AK owners don't seem to be bothered by the absence of one.

i agree that there's that big difference in price. i wonder if QC10 has something over the NFA to justify that price difference.

there are bullet buttons available for these two lowers.

that's what i've been reading/hearing, too. but there are also posts/reports that QC10 has fixed their LRBHO issue/s. i agree with you. i'd also rather have NO bolt hold open than one that's not reliable.

not really sure, but it looks like PSA's is the same as the NFA's.

I have two that I dumped hours more time into already high priced lowers trying their "new, improved, upgraded" BHO parts they said would "improve" them. Finally gave up and stripped the systems out of the lowers and just left the Bolt Catch for manual hold open when appropriate. I could get them to work with one maybe two different mags, but if you fool around with the catch spring like they tell you to enough to get it to work with any mag it then bounces the catch under fire locking open at arbitrary times under firing. The system has too much of a mechanical advantage loss from the mag to the catch to be reliable. Just a purely piss poor attempt at a system in my humble opinion....

Supposedly NFA has solved the LRBHO problem by building it into the upper receiver instead of the lower:
New Frontier Armory – a leading firearms manufacturer in Las Vegas, Nevada. Veteran-owned and operated, specializing in AR manufacturing and top-quality firearms.

Has anybody had a chance to play with their upper and see if it really works?
