So I got my complete upper from Del-ton.com and I ordered it without the flash hider. When i got it I thoughtI was getting a regular barrel but instead it was threaded at the tip. So my question is this illegal to have a threaded barrel like usp tacticals. Also when was the last year I could have had a ar with detachable mags? dec 2000?

My understanding is that handguns cannot have a threaded barrel but rifles are. The Keltec SU16CA has a threaded barrel. It may be illegal to add a flash suppressor if it would turn your rifle into an assault weapon.
I could be totally wrong though so if I am, someone please correct. -
