    Lost take down spring

I lost my original take down spring and then lost the spare one I bought with an "oops kit". I turned my house upside down with no luck. Does anyone know where I can buy a few with free shipping? Or possibly even a hardware store?

Riflegear in Fountain Valley sells individual bits and pieces. I buy stuff there regularly because anything I drop falls into a black hole.

I keep a giant parts bag handy. Detents for safety and takedown/pivot too.

I know your pain. Frustrating AF
Haha I live downtown wish I was closer, but it's okay ordered 6 springs + detents on fleabay. I appreciate it

Assemble spring and detents in a box, preventing flying parts. Works well for me. That and using a fingernail to hold them down.

There must be a lot of mind readers on CG.net. my ESP tells me OP is asking about detent springs for AR15 pivot pins. I haven't lost any but sure bent the end of a few rear ones when changing butt stocks.

Jaja, funny how this topic comes. Up. I lost 2 buffer spring detent and springs within a month. Luckly in both cases i had another lower i just took off of until i got back in town.

I m seriously thinking about getting a parts kit buildup now...

I assemble that part of the lower inside a large dry cleaning bag. They stay in the bag when launched.

Zippo makes a replacement spring for these.

Take the flint spring out and trim to size and pop it in.
Just don't loose the spring taking it out of the Zippo.

I heard someone say that they assemble inside of their shower, and cover up the drain. Harder to lose things if its in a small enclosed brightly light space I guess

I would brag about all of the tiny parts I have miraculously found on the floors of my abode, but then the next one would end up in an alternate universe, just to spite me.

Drag a magnet around the rooms floor by a string. You practically have to lay on the floor to see them.

I wonder if the spring for the flint from a Bic lighter would work
