    Battle arms minimal stock

any reviews? would it fit on a pistol buffer tube? Not for an AR pistol but to put a pistol buffer tube on a fullsize AR then add this.

it would probably twist around a lot on a pistol buffer tube.

That is actually a cool idea. Now that I see it, I wonder how this has not been done until now.

I have one of these. In the parts bin at the moment. I was never able to shoot accurately with irons due to the short LOP when mounted to a standard carbine length tube. The charging handle was almost touching my upper lip. I think it would be way, way too short on a pistol tube.

The Sabertube is like an inch longer, I think that would be ok. Same deal for the A5 tubes.

It does look very good, it's very high quality, and it could work OK with a red dot. But you're giving up the ability to properly shoulder the rifle.

If I could only get an SBR reasonably..... ahhhhh this would be worth looking into.

            Oh yes.

Everytime I look at the thing, I wish I could reasonably get an SBR with a 10"-11" barrel and a mini red dot. Would be a great lightweight PDW setup.

Doesn't look very comfortable with use. Why pick this over a simple stock and leave it collapsed for the same price?

Too expensive IMO, much like their other products.

About 3.8 oz lighter than a standard stock, I think - and that includes a QD socket which will add some weight to a standard stock. It's also an extremely solid setup, as you would expect.

You have point on comfort, though. Being all scrunched up and cheeking a bare buffer tube is no fun.

Terrible design if you are looking for durability/reliability and function out of a combat rifle. If you are looking for a fashionable type designer rifle which it seems many people are then ya it is real pretty...

The receiver extension is a vital component on the AR style rifle and it is also happens to be a weak point, that part they released basically turns it into a leverage bar with a handle...not to mention if you are humping it around in the sun all day I bet that metal tube gets mighty hot and putting your face up against it for a cheek weld won't be pleasant

THIS. I just exchanged a mid-length Sabertube for the rifle-length model (BAD was very good about this), which should get me to just about where I like an adjustable carbine buttstock to sit. But anything else they make -- especially the end plate for a standard carbine receiver extension -- would be waaaaay too small for me.

How is it different from any other AR with a carbine buttstock?

I expect a strip of adhesive-backed neoprene weatherstripping will fix that right up.
