    Light striking

Anyone have some opinions on my ar-15 light striking very often on my last range trip. It started off flawless ate up 100 rounds of m193 with no problems. Switched to a heavier match ammo, black hills 68gr and thats when it started. Thought maybe it was heavy primers so I switched back and it continued. I took care to clean the firing pin before my outing and not lube it. I am going to clean it again this afternoon and check if its full of crud.

    Anything I might be missing?

You sure you installed the hammer string properly?

Remember, the legs of the hammer spring need to be PARALLEL to the inside shelf of the lower receiver. If the spring is installed wrong, the legs will be at an angle.

I had the same problem, just tried this fix, and it worked!

Or at least the hammer is striking a lot harder now so I assume it worked. My neighbors might get a little cranky if I tested it in my backyard...

          Thanks for the help.

Uhhh, it's not a "fix", it's the PROPER installation of the hammer spring
