I contacted Red Jacket Firearms to do the conversion for my Vepr .308 to take my M14 mags, but he told me although it could be done, the work would be expensive and time consuming. I also asked about my .308 Saiga conversion to accept the same magazines. He said that one would be easier, however they would not ship it back to CA. Not a problem now that we have Freakshow, Henderson Defense, etc.

There is a guy on saiga files that is making a drop in conversion mag well for the 223 for $82... He says he is working on the 308 version and will have it out soon.

Now that sounds interesting. Which magazine will it accept?

Yes, please post a link if you can.

I would definitely be interested in that.

I am sold if someone makes a m14/m1a conversion for the .308 Saiga.

He has the 223 Saiga mag well adapter that has a right side button release (BB adaptable?) that takes AR mags now. Its running $120 shipped.

I think he is looking at G3 mags, not M14 mags... Frankly, I have both preban mags in bulk and don't really care which one it is. The G3 mags are dirt cheap right now though.

This guy looks like the best deal in town right now...
I hope he can get it together for the 308 mag well conversion.
