    First gun I ever fired.
My dad has a black and chrome one that he never shoots anymore.
I have put several thousand rounds through it, never oiled it or really cleaned it so to speak.
I'll have to get one myself someday.

One of the best 22 rifles Remington made!!!! They were sure dumb for stopping the manufacture of them. Great/good rifle that keeps shooting and a fantastic rifle to carry with you as a survival piece. Just wish I can put a sling on mine.

I'm still working on my dad to give his to me! I grew up shooting it and he hasn't shot it in ages. Plus you gotta love the "over 10 round" capacity!

Great rifles. I wouldnt dream of selling mine, it was the first rifle i was given (the apache black one). I hear they are getting pretty collectible. Very accurate for there age, i can put up pretty good groups at 100 yards. I let my girlfriend shoot my old rifle and i use the brown stock nylon.

Im actually going to petaluma monday to work at a job site for a week, ill be bringing my nylon along for the ride so i can try out the range there on monday . They are kinda hard to complete strip, but i have done it a few times.

My first rifle, still have it. $39.95 at KMART The magazine fed version also known as the model 77. Years ago I had a ruptured case which damaged the stock. Remington replaced it (lifetime warranty at the time).

The serial number, therefore the registered component is the metal sheet cover/scope base.

Words of advise. Do not attempt to disassemble it. It is not fun.

I second that. Took quite a while to get it back together and operating correctly.
