Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Get another MAK90.(unlikely in CA) Or do you still own it. Anyone who tells you to buy a WASR or anything Romanian, don't listen to them. They are complete junk, they're not military grade firearms. They are made for the civilians as a single stack plinking rifle, then imported into the U.S. and have the receivers drilled out to accept double stack magazines.
Look up Iraqveteran8888 ak meltdown video and you can see exactly what I'm talking about. The WASR melts down in a few hundred rounds. Barrel melts and comes out of the receiver. for the smart *** below me. Was never made for sustained fully automatic fire. Aka, not a real AK, but a toy. He does a reloaded video with a Vepr I think, and it holds up perfectly.
Chinese(Norinco), Bulgarian(Arsenal), polish, Russian(saiga) all good. Romanian bad. Chinese AK's are well known for being one of the best quality ak's on the market. Aka mak90.Last edited by Germ1; 03-03-2016, 7:37 PM.Comment

AK47
For the smart @ss above, my receiver magwell looks milled out not drilled?? And yes they are imported for civilians and for plinking. Are you not a civilian? And do you run yours full auto?
Anyways, The new wasr's aren't too bad, I just shot mine today. That reminds me I better go check it for melt down. I'm planning on building my next ak, I've already bought a m92 kit, a polish akm kit and two East German kits. Also bought the dies, flats, rivets, spot welder, now I'm looking for a hydraulic press. Eyeballing a Jet 30 ton but their pricey.Last edited by javithewrench; 03-03-2016, 11:15 PM.Comment

The Iraqveteran8888 meltdown videos are useless for anything but entertainment. That wasr was an old beat up post sample full auto conversion that probably spent most of its life doing mag dumps and who knows what condition if was in befor the video. The only reason they come into the country as single stack and then converted to use normal ak mags is because of our stupid import laws. The last part i mostly agree with.Get another MAK90. The reason they are made as single stack rifles has nothing to do with U.S. importation laws. They're made that way because they're not military rifles. They are made to be sold to civilians. They are a cheap plinking rifle, made out of cheap parts. Often plagued by magazine wobble and canted sights. The Iraqveteran8888 meltdown videos are useless for anything but entertainment. "10/63:
Early on in the sixties RomArm started manufacturing a civilian, export oriented version of the md. 63. This version was created to be semi automatic (one shot per trigger pull). The other major difference from its uncle, the md. 63 was that it was designed to accept only special 10 round single stack magazines, as opposed to the widely available standard AK double stack 30 round magazines that the md. 63 uses. This rifle was called the 10/63 (10 round version of the PM md. 63)"
Also he redid the ak meltdown with a Vepr and it performed flawlessly. There's a reason.Last edited by Germ1; 03-03-2016, 7:46 PM.Comment

Romanian bad???? Really??? Seriously?? Ever used a WASR?? Ever used an SAR1? Just an FYI, but most Chinese AKs, outside of the Polytechnical ones are banned here. Norinco is totally banned as an assault weapon.Get another MAK90.(unlikely in CA) Or do you still own it. Anyone who tells you to buy a WASR or anything Romanian, don't listen to them. WASR is the best AK available here at a reasonable cost. A Saiga is a sporting rifle and not a true AK. The Romanian and Yugoslavian factory built rifles are fine weapons. Polish AKs are generally all kit based and Arsenal are very expensive and may be outside of the budget constraints of some buyers.

I have an SAR1 and I feel the same way. It was difficult to acquire but was worth the money and effort.sigpic
