price check on upper please

Here are the details:

"AR 15 Upper and lower parts kit. The barrel is new, upper reciever is flat top has slight marks, has knights armament picatiny handguards, oversized firing pin, flat nosed firing pin retaining pin and chrome bolt carrier/bolt. All parts have been gone through and upper has been gauged completley. Lower parts kit includes m-16A/2 buttstock and buffer assembly, lightened hammer, heavier hammer spring for positive firing pin strikes, disconnect (you can have either stock one or polished)."

Upper is a Colt (verifying this). The upper was assembled by the seller who is a military armorer and a gunsmith. It's his personal upper.

He is valuing this at $900.00. Good price?

My GG&G Dominator-1 upper was only $699 3 weeks ago. I would not trade it for that...

A lot of good work in putting it together but its a bit high.
I'd expect to see a FF rail for that price.
If you are set on buying a Colt.

If it's $900 for the Colt upper with KAC rail system, LPK and Colt A2 stock, that's not bad.
What brand of parts in the LPK?
If it's all Colt parts, that's a deal.

It's good pricing if it's really all colt - especially the small parts and barrel.

Ok. I have more info:

Upper is a Diemaco - military contractor. Small pin holes.

Barrel is a new Colt carbine 16" chrome lined 1 in 7 twist 5.56

LPK and buttstock are RRA

I think I'm going to do the trade unless someone kbnows something bad re the upper.

Seller will also take time to teach me a few tricks of the trade since he is an M16 armorer.

Just got offered a Wilson CQB Compact with green frame for rifle and scope.

What to do what to do.

Turns out the CQB he had (guy in South Carolina) is not on the roster. So tonight, I transfered the FN without the scope and bipod, picked up the upper, two sets of chrome BCH, bipod, LPK and complete A2 stock.

Came home and promptly installed it on a Stag lower with BB, C-Products 10 rnd mag, and 6 position stock. I'll dig up a BUIS I have somewher and it will be good to go until I pick up the Wilson tactical lower and build that up with a 2-stage trigger and Magpul PRS.

Transferred the IOR that was on the FN to my M1A.
