    Installed ALG ACT

So I picked up a new ALG ACT for my AR. I figured for 69 bucks it would be worth a try. I had my rifle put together by a local shop here in San Diego but after watching some YouTube videos I ran over to Walmart and bought a punch set and gave it a go.

Well 30 mins and a YouTube video later my new ALG ACT is in! With a couple of dry fires I can feel the difference. I opted for the tan spring with the 6lb pull vs the purple spring (4.5lb pull) to avoid any light primer strikes.

Anyone running the purple spring that also comes with the ACT and had any issues?

Anyhow I'll hit the range this week and report back. OH and I also swapped out my BCM mod 0 buttstock for a B5 SOPMOD Bravo.

I put the same trigger in one of my ARs with the purple spring but haven't shot it yet. Just messing around with it here at home it feels awesome without being too light. Buy a couple snap caps (they're cheap) so you can play around with the trigger as much as you want without feeling bad about dry firing. Also, if you were able to install the trigger than the rest of your lower will be no problem. Do your next one by yourself and you'll find it is very rewarding.

I'm actually considering buying an ALG trigger for a few of my AK's. Not to threadjack, but anyone have any experience with one in your Kalashnikov?

3 of my rifles has the ALG ACT with the purple/maroon spring installed.. And no light primer strikes whatsoever, it even ignites the TULA/WPA steel casings with no problems.. But once I took one of the lower to put my x39 upper on, i had 3-4 light primer strikes.. I'm guessing it shoots the .223 steel casing all day, not so much with the 7.62x39 rounds.. But all that has been fixed and ready to go..

I recently dropped one in my WASR. Fitting the roll pin to the safety lever was very easy (you get 2 roll pins in case etc). The trigger break is very crisp, tactile and light (maybe too light). Mine breaks at 4lbs, nice wall before break (no creep). Reset is very positive, smooth and swift. I took my wasr out a handful of times, no problems, very fun. For 50$ I highly recommend one, I believe they are a steal @ that price.

The x39 in the AR platform is definitely finicky to say the least with aftermarket triggers. I wish the ALG's were more consistent with feel and pull. One of my QMS's is one of my favorite triggers. Having bought a few more none of them including the ACT feel anything close to it.

Thanks bud! The other trigger I was considering is Century's RAK-1 Enhanced trigger. I felt a few AK's at a gunshop the other day that had them and it actually felt really good. It had a nice "wall" like you described with the ALG, almost like a 2-stage trigger.

I found the QMS smoother to pull. I've been swapping those out for RRA two stage match triggers for $62, a better trigger for less $.

The AR's all got JP yellow springs, 3.5lbs pull. The AR-47 has the RRA two stage with Wolf heavy springs and the extended firing pin. You will need that for Wolf or Tula 7.62x39.

I have the ALG ACT's on both my AR's. I wanted a factory combat pull trigger (for reliability) with a smooth pull. I highly recommend them.

I HIGHLY recommend the Joeboboutfitters.com grip screw adjuster. http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/JoeB...uster-blem.htm

This one is a blem. Add this and a set of JP yellow springs and it is almost as crisp as some single stage drop in triggers I have felt. That is the exact setup that I have in one of my budget ARS and the trigger is amazing compared to how much it actually cost
