How noisy are buffer springs and is this potentially a good solution?

    With regards to the buffer bottoming out in the tube, I don't suppose that heavy polymer bumper is there for a reason.

    If you watch the video below, match the position of the bolt to the ejection port, then match the position to you lower receiver, then take it apart and push the carrier (with bolt in extended position) to the point you noted on your lower.

    Would you say that is closer to 100% or 70%?

      Its your rifle...

      Polish the spring, grease it.... but I suggest you skip the "wrap".

      I have heard some REALLY gritty springs and some super smooth ones.

      The super smooth ones are a joy to cycle.
