Bullet button for L1A1 (NOT FAL)

Anyone found a bullet button that fits the IMPERIAL (non metric) L1A1 or SLR???

I tried to fit a bullet button to one before but it is clearly made for the metric FAL - any ideas before I have to drill into the receiver to fit it?

Hate FAL BB's myself I'd go grip wrap instead.

Check on FALfiles. You may have to have one made if nothing turns up. I wouldn't tap the receiver, personally.

Remove the gas piston and spring.

Other threads here seem to go with this one: http://www.rifletailor.com/fn-fal-l1a1-maglock/

But as the description says, you'll have to swap out the wide L1A1 release with a metric release and spring.

This is correct, you have to remove the original, install a metric mag release
then put your metric cage around it. Not a big deal. Good luck,Love the
L1A1. The one I had on my rifle was from a guy named Joe Perl, who was
here in Ventura County where I live,it was a while back, though. Pete
