While my Mini-14 will never be as accurate as my ARs, it shoots Wolf 62 gr HPs into groups that run less than 2 inches at 100 yards. That is good enough for defense and coyotes.

Right. Because he's been so successful every other time he has tried. He's gotten absolutely nothing done against guns on the federal level in the 7 years since he took office and that's not gonna change by the time he leaves.
