    Firing pins

    whats the life of one , how often should they be replaced ?, i had one break from a POF bolt carrier after maybe 2000 rounds , that cant be normal ...

    Only 2000 rounds and a broke firing pin? No, I would say not normal. I have one AR with probably 9K plus through it with the original bolt and firing pin.

    My issued AR in the Army was well used and abused....with who knows how many 10's of thousands of rounds through it with myself probably shooting a good 5000 rounds. And never had a firing pin break.

    That being said, I do keep a few spares on hand.
