Trying to decide on a grip.

    Hey guys,

I took the AR to the range yesterday and shot it for a few hours. The only thing that has ever bothered me about it is the grip. I currently have a Blackhawk rubberized grip. Feels nice, but even with my smallish hands, it's too thin.
I'm looking at 4 grips, and would like your opinions on them:

    Magpul MOE+

    Magpul K2+

    Larue APEG

    ErgoGrips

I'll probably avoid the K2+ just because I am comfortable with the traditional angle. What are your thoughts on these grips?

Find a store that has those in stock and try them yourself. Grips that i think are comfortable for me might not be comfortable for you.

I prefer the Egro grip. Rubbery feel is soft and comfortable. The grip angle is much nicer compared to the AR15 standard angle. and the nice palm swell

I'm really diggin' the DD grip also. I actually like the tire pattern treads on the grip, and the angle is similar to the Ergo Tactical DLX.

Grip angle was the big sales point for me. Sorry missed you grip angle comment.

I'm not sure on the model of Blackhawk grip that you currently have, but the one I have is the exact same shape as my ergo grip, just a different feel to the rubber between the two. So if you already don't like it.... That said Ergo also has the "tactical delux" which looks to be bigger. I also like the hogue grip myself.

I'm a big fan of the Magpul MIAD grip. I like the optional finger groove and interchangeable back straps.

              Thanks everyone.
Teflon, I had the opportunity to try the MIAD grips. Having options is great, but none of the configurations worked for me...not sure why.

I'll have to give it a week before stopping by my LGS...Black Friday = Empty shelves. Last I checked, all they had were the original MOE grips.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! Looking into them now.
InsanePropane, I'm comfortable with the standard A2 angle. Textured or rubberized would be fine as well.

Haven't tried them all. Like the texture of the Moe+.

Big fan of the MP K2+. It's got more of an upright position and a somewhat soft rubbery feel.
