SCARS are a dime a dozen. Ive never seen a AUG at the range, other than a rental.

There's a reason for that. The AUG is an antiquated, overpriced dinosaur. Ever shot one? The only advantage is the OAL and that is not an issue in the PRK.

A little pricier than a SCAR, but comes with good trigger, full length handguard. That's an extra 600 bucks to add to scar price.

My vote is for the SCAR 17. I own one and it's a great gun. Felt recoil is slightly more pronounced than an AR 15, so it's very easy to shoot.

But the Steyr AUG has a mystique for me of nostalgia going back decades. In the 1980's it was THE gun to have.

Wat? They couldn't give them away. They kept dropping the price and still nobody bought. Finally they had to throw in a bunch of free magazines, over a hundred bucks worth iirc. Nobody wanted them until they were banned from import.

The answer is, almost anything instead of an AUG.

HAH! Purpose and intention are irrelevant at this point. I don't need either one to do anything with them I can't do with what I already have plenty times over. I've got enough for that and every intention met for whatever I already own.

If all I did was mount them on the wall and ogle them all day, that's the intention.
