Time to rebarrel for more accuracy!!

Well I took advantage of the Fulton Armory 10% off Halloween sale and picked up a 24" Criterion 6.5 Creedmoor barrel to swap out my 22" Criterion 308 barrel I have on my rifle now. Should be getting the barrel Monday however I just got my custom muzzle brake from SAS Tactical today and they did a great job with a super quick turn around time. Once I get everything installed by Randall @ AR15 Barrels I'll take it to the range and see what happens. Heres some pics of how she is now and new muzzle brake.

Thanks bud! I do have to say your Criterion Barrels are very accurtae. Heres some pics of the accuracy of the 308 barrel that is on there now. 100 yards 5 shot groups with 168g Federal Gold Medal Match ammo.

                  Looks nice.

I'm curious, and debated going to 6.5 Creedmoor on my LR-308, but what stopped me from doing so is the fact that it's semi-automatic. I just ordered a Criterion 24" Bull Barrel from Fulton.

Do you think you'll see a lot more accuracy from a semi-automatic? Seems the 6.5 Creedmoor makes more sense on a bolt action and why I stayed with 308. I'll be curious to see what type of better accuracy you get on yours. Your 308 barrel didn't look too bad, about 3/4 MOA.

I'm hoping the accuracy will be better than my 308 barrel, but you never know. I've been actually pretty happy with the Criterion line of barrels, no complaints here. Another reason I swapped Barrels was the fact that my 308 barrel was one of the earlier ones offered but Fulton Armory and has a 1:12 twist. I was wanting to shoot some 175's but thought the 1:12 twist might be a bit too slow.

That's a good point. I have a 1:10 16" and I do shoot 168s and 175s out of it, and will do the same on the Criterion barrel I just ordered as it's also 1:10.

I have a 24" Krieger barrel on my 5.56 and it's 1:9, so I normally shoot 69s out of it, rather than 77s, so kinda same 'sitch as your older Criterion 308 barrel.

When I initially ordered my 308 barrel I didn't realize it was a 1:12 twist. That 24" Criterion should serve you very well!!!
