Yup! I have a 3 lb Velocity in one of my ar's and it's a nice trigger for the price. But if you are a building a LR Grendel I would suggest the Hiperfire 24E trigger. I have mine set at 2.5lbs on my LR 308 and it's an amazing trigger.

I've had no problems with mine and have no complaints. It's on one of my 3-gun competition AR's. For the price ($99 on sale), it can't be beat.

But, I suspect for a 1,000 yard rifle, you'd want a 2-stage trigger with less than a 3 pound pull. I'm not sure a 3 pound single stage would be the best fit for the application.

While great news to hear everyone is happy with the velocity triggers, especially at that price point.

I would have to agree that a two stage trigger sounds more suitable for your intended purpose.

I will second that they are a really great trigger for the price. bought one for my ar15 and after trying it out instantly bought a second one for my LR build.

I have 2 velocity triggers, one on my AR-15 and one on my LR-308.

I have the 3 lb. version, it's light and crisp.

One of my shooting partners was shooting my LR-308 last month and noted how light the velocity was in comparison to his S&W MP, but I guess I'm used to it.

I like them a lot, got mine from WC Armory in Texas, $134.95 including shipping and they come with anti-walk pins. XLNT deal.

I picked up a 3lb velocity trigger for my last SPR build, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed for the price point.

I'm also running one in my LR308 great trigger, nice break, short reset, no creep.
While I don't normally shoot steel cased hard primer ammo, I did have soft primer strikes with steel cased tula, no issues with factory 308 brass.

We tried to use their single stage 3lb triggers in our ARs. They were great in 5.56, but they didn't handle the recoil of the 7.62 well. We had some issues with them causing 3+ round bursts. After the 7.62 issues I removed them from our .458s without even testing it.
