let me see if i got this straight. if i get a lmt m4 and put on one of the mag lok devices on it and use a 10rnd mag i'ld be ok to use the rifle here in the prk??

This is the way it is now but things change so keep up on the California DOJ website and pay close attention here. and get your OLL if that is what you desire before the law changes and you should be ok.

That is correct! Welcome to the show, you are a little late, but there are still plenty of lowers out there and more keep coming in everyday. If you have any other questions, just let us know. dude, don't be so harsh on him... I used to be a noob, can't find anything new to these gun laws and stuff reading hours and hours worth. Give him a break and just help answer the question. and the answer is yes to the mag lock thingy keep it 10 rounds and the darn thing lock. You'll be fine with it.

Putting an AR together is easy. Trying to limit yourself to one rifle is a problem. So many configurations, so many accessories, it's worse then 1911 addiction. There is no cure, once hooked you'll never be the same. So kick off your shoes and jump in, the AR/AK Pool never closes...
