It uses AR mags fitted for x39. Got them from here:

I wanted a western gun that shoots x39, and this was the cheapest route, even with having to buy specific mags. Sure the other options (Sig 556, PTR32, Mutant, etc) can use AK mags but are also $1000+. This upper was $325 excluding optics.

I took my 7.62x39 upper to the range. Set up a 50 yard target because of the on and off wind. It shot well. I used cheap Tula from Walmart. I also used the 10/20 mags from Mag Commander. No hiccups till the 90th round. It fired but the case got stuck on the ramp and won't eject. Probably caused by the dirty Tula. Going to clean, oil, and take it back to the range ASAP.

                Ordered one

I ordered a complete Radical Firearms 300 BLK rifle with a 16 inch barrel. I ordered it from Atlantic Firearms https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/com....html?Itemid=0 about a week and a half ago and it shipped right away after my cashier's check arrived. I started the DROS on it yesterday at my local gun store and I am really looking forward to shooting it. I ordered a Larue Tactical QD LT104 mount to go along with the Primary Arms 1-6x24 scope with the 300 blk ACSS reticle.

I'm about to order one of their 16" 556, I'm torn between the 1-9 or 1-7 twist.
I already have a 1-7, any reason to go 1-9?

You know I have two AR15's with 1:9 twist barrels, both chambered in 5.56 but with different barrel lengths. One has a 20 inch barrel and it is very accurate with almost any ammo I put down the pipe. The other one has a 16 inch barrel and it doesn't get very tight groups with 62 grain ammo or heavier. I just bought a POF barrel, also 16 inch but with a 1:8 twist rate to see if that helps it out.
