    30-06 conversion

    what parts exactly are needed for a 308 to 30-06 conversion on a 1919a4 izzy?

      Can the barrel just be reamed to the new cartrdige? Seeing as .30-06 is larger than .308 in all regards and they share the same bore and twist rate - unless there is something I'm not thinking of (which does happen quite frequently).

        If the chamber is chrome lined you will have a hard time reaming it.

          Actually the 308 has slightly larger dimentions towards the base.. you could dril out the barrel but would end up with a sloppy loose chamber.
