If you're thinking of getting the MSAR AUG clone, think again...

I just left Independent Armament after paying $1825.00 for a MSAR E4. This is the newest Rifle from MSAR It takes any AR 15 Mags.I Got the 20 inch barrel but no optics I have a brand new Burris 2x7 26mm scope that needed a rifle. I also got to play with a FN Scar while I was there couldnt stop drulling. I ordered 20 and 30 round Magpul mags from riflegear and those even look like the Aug mags Its going to be a very sick setup with my TLR 2 I will have the rifle in 10 days and will post pics

Where did you buy yours? if you don't mind me asking. Do independent armament have it in stock or you just dros'd the rifle there?

I just paid the DROS fee today They didnt have the rifle in stock they ordered it for me. it will get to the store in 10 days . The 20 & 30 round mags are blocked to only 10 rounds

Actually speaking of the possibility of a FAMAS clone, hasn't MAS's patent run out if the rifle was designed in 1967? Isn't the design of the gun now public domain?

Looking further into it, I beleive MAS's patents have run out. It just seems no American company has stepped up to the plate like MSAR
