2500 would be my guess for an asking price.

If the smith receiver says hammer forged then think 5000.00

I hope for the OP's sake that he didn't spend 5000 having it built...

Are the USGI parts new in wrap parts or used? Makes a slight difference in terms of pricing.

I'm no expert in prices but using my LRB build with heavy Krieger barrel and used USGI parts in excellent condition cost roughly $2700 including labor IIRC. That also includes labor for bedding the stock. So with that, your McMillan stock cost about $400 more than my walnut non liner oversized stock, I'd say no less than $2500 like what was mentioned above. Good luck with the sale.

If you are a gunbroker member you can check past sales on the advance search function , type in smith enterprise then look for a early smith build , not the new ones Ron Smith is turning out and selling for $5000 on lrb m14 recievers , from a quick search it looks like $1900 to $2500 . please pm me and I can send you the links.
                Regards RB

That's was a cast receiver , I have own a few smith rifles if it's marked forged meza ( billet machined) With your current set up I would ask 3800.00 that's fair valve ,if it's cast I would still ask 2800.00 it wont sell fast but it will sell , also cross list on M14 fourms and GB not sure the AR crowd see the value , I do think smith current billet machine receiver have hurt the value a little bit , but their production has slow I'm not sure we will see more

                    Hope tha helps

                    Cheers Will

One thing about asking the value of a rifle on the M14 forum, it's a big no no. There all you can do is look at the classified section and see the asking prices and what one sold for, if the seller did not erase the price post sale.

Sold my 1983 M1A with matching walnut upper hand guard for 2,300 a while back but it was exceptional. And came with a lot of extras.

I'm thinking 3000-3200 but you have to find the right buyer. Not as many buyers for highpower rifles. I would love to have it, it sounds super.
