DSA is still the best current production FAL available. My first FAL was a DSA rifle bought when they still had tons of surplus parts kits. Dave at DSA bought out all production STG58 parts, the tooling used to build the parts, and the engineering drawings controlling the parts. Anybody else producing rifles from scratch is using reverse-engineered drawings, and issues can and do arise...
You NEED to get onto the FAL Files if that's what you're shooting.
Not sure what the bullet weight is on PMC ammo...the FAL was designed for a 150gr. bullet (aka NATO M80).
IMO Turkish ZOI is crap...it's claimed to be NATO, but NATO has yet to inspect a Turkish ammo plant. Good luck.
Gas regulators come in both marked and unmarked versions.
I'd start with Brownells...or, find someone out of CA who can sell you an oem mag and block it prior to shipping to you.

I registered for FALFiles, but from what I understand, the person responsible for vetting New members & admitting them has been MIA for a while.
The PMC is 147gr.
The LGS I frequent has a hi cap permit, & will order & block any mags for me I want to get, so I'm good there.
