Charging Handle Questions

I have a Stag upper that the roll pin for the latch came out and bent. So I bought a new roll pin from Midway, but it does not fit snugly enough in the hole of the charging handle.

Question #1: Are all charging handles the same spec? I think the roll pin I got is distributed by DPMS. My charging handle is Stag. Should the DPMS pin fit properly?

Question #2: If I replace the charging handle, should I go forged or extruded? What are the differences.

I am only thinking of replacing it because I think I damaged the original trying to drive a larger roll pin into the hole.

All charging handles are not built the same, but they are to the same dimensions for the roll pin, etc.

Forged is stronger than extruded. I would go with forged.
