    Taurus CT9

I recently came across this carbine at my LGS and it piqued my interest. Does anyone have any experience with it? The reviews I've seen mainly complain about the lack of >10 round magazines but other than that, it seems like it would be a fun range toy.

    Any thoughts?

It piqued my interest just long enough to see it's a Taurus.

I felt the same way but figured that if it was priced right it could be a fun little gun.

Sorry, no experience with one either. I looked at them for a bit, and saw that the magazine lock seemed kind of complex and relatively expensive/unobtainum, so difficult to get in CA. We in CA also don't "mind" getting only 10 round mags as that is all we can normally get, but that doesn't apply to you in Kansas.

I did note that these carbines are no longer in the Taurus 2015 catalog, so I don't think they sold all that well and are now being cleared out. Probably eliminates the possibility that someone will make a standard capacity magazine for them.

In the end I bought an 80% 9mm lower and made my own 9mm PCC.

LGS was asking $590 but Buds has them for $470.

Yeah, the only thread on here I saw about it was asking about mag locks for them.

Most of the complaints were on other websites/forums. For a range toy, 10 round mags are fine. Apparently Taurus cannot have anything to do with magazines that hold >10 rounds (at least for this firearm).

They are not being made any more. Most speculation is that it was overpriced ($890 MSRP) for what it is but some think that it's because of the lack of high capacity magazines.

The carbine is based off of a sub gun taurus makes in Brazil for military and police use.
