Not another AR!

So I just stumbled upon two AR builds I started a couple years back. After the last one I finished, I swore I was done. But I have two that are just sitting around now with stripped uppers, LPKs, BCGs. I am looking for ideas for two new builds now. These are the ars I currently have;

1. DSA ZM4. Just a standard little guy with an eotech. (Only store bought one of the bunch)

2. 20inch ss barrel, billet upper and lower, wood laminate with scope.

3. 18 inch midlength, freefloat, od green, acog, featureless.

4. 16 inch, rifle length dissapator, gray, a1 style upper/handguard, hammerhead featureless.

5. 7.5inch pistol, gse shorty buffer tube, asa side charger upper.

6. 10 inch ar 57 pistol upper.


All of them are 5.56/.223, aside from the 5.7. I am thinking of doing a standard m16 style with detachable carry handle , and maybe MMG on one of them.

The other maybe a 5.45? Ive never really thought about it much, but then again I didnt remember I had two more projects started already.

Maybe a dedicated .22?

Another pistol?

What do yall think? Do the 5.45s work well? what would I need different, bolt, barrel, mags? Are the parts easily available? Maybe I should get a cross bow upper? Anybody remember seeing sten style uppers years ago?

I was done too, I thought. I always have plenty of ammo. And I dont think I want optics. my wallet still aches from that acog!

I was thinking 5.45 just because I have 10,000 or so rounds laying around.

I actually might. I can switch around some parts, and blast and repaint to match colors. The only thing is a few years ago I couldnt find a1 stocks or grip anywhere. I have an a1 upper and triangle handguard already, then I would have to get some parts for the cannibalized gun, but it doest have to be anything fancy.

That still leaves me with another one to build up.
