    HK receiver bending jigs

I'm considering building an MP5 and wondering if there is anyone in the NorCal area with the tools to shape the receiver flat.

It would seem smarter to pay someone a reasonable amount to borrow the tools rather than buy it to use once.

    Thanks in advance!
    Thanks,
    Marc

Its honestly easier to send your kit off to someone to build it for you. Unless you have a huge press and are really good at TIG welding you cant have anyone help you build it otherwise it is then manufacturing on their part

Agree with the above. Building those stamped receivers from flats requires not only a press and jig, but some welding as well. Unless you have a shop and good metalworking skills, it's going to be a lot less of a headache to have someone else do it.

If you were in socal my cousin could probably help you, he's got a press and decent welding skills.

He would probably take payment if you bought him the parts and let him build his own lol

He's been talking about building a MP5 and an Uzi for years. Said for him it would be fairly easy. Just needs to buy the parts, jig and time.

Thanks for the input guys. I build engines, transmissions, etc., so I wanted to give this a try myself. The press work is no big deal and I can weld so I'm good there. I was really just hoping to avoid the additional cost of the jigs if possible.
          Thanks,

I have the jigs for bending and the barrel pin. I have all the parts for my build but am currently doing Tig Welding classes to get good enough to complete it. I would be willing to rent you the Jigs or work together to build them if you are a welder. Let me know if you are interested. PM me

              I live in San Francisco.

A kit can run almost 2k, it depends on how you piece it together. I already have several HK weapons and spare parts so I did not need a complete kit. Feel free to PM me as well.

Thanks guys! Jeremy, maybe we can get together sometime - I'd like to take a look at what you have to help get an idea of what's really involved.
                    Thanks,

Here's a link I looked at some time back about the difficulties involved and the expertise needed to bend the flat.
