    AR Lower question

I'm thinking about putting together a lower for my extra AR 15 Upper which is a HBAR A2 model.

I'd like to go featureless by putting one of these onto the receiver:

    Suggetions?

A complete Lowers, they recommend a collapsible stock model?

A stripped lower and add a parts kit, plus the buffer tube, buffer and buffer spring?

Do stripped Lower shipped into Kommiefornica have to have the BB installed?

    Resources that ship into CA?

Appreciate any advice and insight from those that have done it!

Your questions don't make sense but i will try my best to answer you.

Lowers can be bought without BB because u can use a rimfire upper on it (22lr). However it will be hard to find someone who will ship u a complete lower.

As for Thorsden stocks, they are great. U will need a stripped lower and a lower build kit. You can get a lower build kit from PSA (about $100). U will not need the collapsible stock and pistol grip that comes with it because the Thorsden replaces it. As for the stripped lower, Anderson has the best deals right now. U can go to your LGS to see if they have them if they don't, they should carry stripped lowers for about $100. If u shop around and can wait, prices will be cheaper.

Also Thorsden runs blemish sales from time to time too.

stripped lowers DO NOT need to have BBs when shipped to your FFL or when you receive them

And of course, featureless doesn't need a bullet button. Thordo stocks are great!

It's not so much that a lower itself doesn't need a maglock because it could be configured as something that does not require a maglock, but rather a lower by itself is not a semi auto center fire rifle (or pistol) thus it does not inherently require a maglock.

Well thanks for making sense out of my "nonsensical" questions. Sometimes things don't jibe between the brain, fingers, eyes, and the auto spell correction thingie!

Thanks for the info, most helpful as were all the other responses, input appreciated!

There is no LGS, well not exactly true, there is one but nobody deals with him due to pricing and attitude, only a table top dealer. He quoted me $275 OTD for an Anderson complete receiver with collapsible stock (which I don't need).

I see Lowers and parts kits on sale in various ads so will check them out plus the parts kits.

One last question though, seeing as how the receiver "is considered the firearm" I assume the 10 day waiting period is in effect for stripped lowers, correct?
