Fulton makes some very nice uppers. My first AR was one of theirs with a 20" stainless Criterion barrel. Probably the most accurate AR out of all the ones I've had over the years, easily 1/2 moa or better. It weighed about 14 pounds with optics though, so it had to go

      What is the purpose?
I have a 20" psa upper that came with a 15" mi free float that is my favorite AR. Works great for 3 gun hosing with an aimpoint PRO.
Ive also rang the steel at angeles out to 400 with the rds.
How much do you want to spend?
I support peace through superior firepower.

        I built one with a $160 Del-ton 20" non-chrome barrel and a UTG superslim freefloat handguard.

FWIW I have a couple PSA barreled ARs, in a couple different lengths, they are good but they don't compare to my 20" WOA AR. The bottom of my WOA AR is pretty generic, only an ALG trigger, but that rifle definitely is better than any of my PSA ARs.

I am retired now, so pulling out various rifles/pistols out of my safes and realizing I have not shot many of them for decades. The AR 15 Colt SP1 I have was used when I bought it and would hit maybe a pie plate at 100 yds. Would like to make that a 50 cent piece next. Have bought a lot of 77 gr SMK to use in reloading.
You can't go far wrong with that match rifle upper. It is most certainly a 1/2MOA upper with 77gr SMKs at mag length. Not much more you could ask for. Alternatively you could get the 20" Flat top Service rifle upper with the NM carry handle that they sell, it's a little more money but you will save on the cost of sights for the match rifle upper. While it looks like the Service rifle upper has a normal handguard, it is actually floated by a steel inner tube.

            Sights:
Take a Lyman 92 and mount it to a lipski base. This goes on the picatinny rail. Then get a phoenix or similar front sight, this gets you the height you need and is removable when you put the scope on. You now have aperture sights for less than $500, and they are fully adjustable for windage and elevation.

Put your scope on an American Defense Manufacturing QD mount, and then you can go between irons and optics without loosing zero in less than five minutes.

A match upper is not something you will want to allow friends to shoot unless they are considering one for themselves and want to try yours.
                Keep it simple!

PLENTY of compass lake love. Their match upper with a Kreiger is a steal at under $1000. No one even comes close at the price.

This is a great deal at $700. I have the 20" model.

I charge $25 to assemble an upper from a box of parts that you supply.
