Would this work on an ak47 (7.62x39)

Vortex Optics SPR-1303 Spitfire 3x Prism. On the discription I read it said it was intended for 5.56/.223? I tried looking it up else where but no luck.
    Thanks in advance.

I suspect it has lines showing for bullet drop, and those will be pretty far off if you run it on 7.62x39 but otherwise I'd expect it to work.

      From Vortex website:

The optic is tested to withstand high caliber magnum rounds, and should be right at home on a .308 rifle. The reticle drop values are going to be very close (within a half minute) to the .308 drops out to 500 yards.

Hope this gives you a ballpark idea...

You just need to figure out the subtensions/bd for your round, they have a very simple reticule if I recall.

        Curious about them myself.

          Here is a better idea.

That optic is made in China for a number of different companies, each with their own specification.

Primary Arms has a version with a reticle made for 762x39.

It's a 4x and personally I love the PA reticle.

I would go for the PA model

The primary arms optic does look like the better option. Thank you all.
