80 percent firearms tracking number not working.

I was sent a tracking number 2 days ago. It was dated for today so I waited for it to start working, but so far it is still not recognized by USPS. Starting to get worried, my order number is 20202. I sent 80% arms an email today, but have not got a reply. Maybe they are closed Mondays. Anyway I know they post here so maybe they will see this. Can you please let me know what's going on with my tracking number.

If it was dated for today, I would guess that means it's shipping today. Won't have any movement shown until it gets picked up and scanned.

Usps is sometimes slow to update tracking info from what I have experienced. 80% probably premade label then packed up over weekend for Monday pickup. USPS should update today some time after they actually pick it up from 80%. That's my guess.
I've also actually recieved packages from usps before they even showed the tracking number as valid.

J.k, USPS is notoriously known for delayed status update.
Several times my packages show they are still in transit but when I check my mail box, they're already stuffed inside. So check your mail box.

Yeah chillax. I had an order with Hellbent Holsters and it was in the state before tracking became available.

It probably won't be scanned at the Post Office til this evening, that's usually the way it works, it was either carrier pick-up or a bulk drop-off at the Post Office...Patience is a virtue (at least that's what my wife always tells me when I am waiting for something to arrive)

Ok go an email back from 80%. Order is being picked up and shipped today. I am Going to stop being OCD and relax now. I always get OCD when dealing with gun stuff Shipping.

Not to worry; I ordered a lower, easy jig, and tooling on May 29, and it arrived last Friday, 12 June. I received the same message 2-3 days before the package arrived, and I could not track it for the first two days. It is on its way, no doubt.

I have been making some orders through righttobear.com (they carry 80% Arms Easy Jig) and they have been super prompt with shipping. Both times now I've ordered on a Friday and get shipping notification on a Monday...last time the order got here on the Wednesday after the shipping notification, all the way from Florida...we'll see if I get the same results this time. If I do, they have probably found a new regular customer in me. Plus their shipping is super reasonable ($7 usually).

OP, please be a little patient.

I also sell online and here's an example of how our shipping process works on weekends:

Buyer purchases on Friday after 3pm (that's the cut-off shipping time.)
We still process the order (if possible, as we close at 5pm) and tracking number is generated. Tracking info is sent instantly to buying customer.
USPS picks up packages at 4pm on Monday. They get scanned at distribution several hours later. (But, tracking progress can take up to 24 hrs to post on usps.com.)

Bottom line, just be patient and considerate. Most businesses don't process or ship on weekends. Guess Amazon is spoiling all of us!

You will learn a lot of this stuff when you ship stuff out. I've shipped a good number of packages out because of sales I made on Calguns and ebay. When you generate a shipping label you also generate a tracking # however that tracking # will not be in the carrier's system until it's actually dropped off and scanned. USPS is notoriously slow but getting the info into their system. I dropped off two items at USPS last week at the same time but one of the tracking #s did not show up until 6 hours after the first one. The package was delivered at the end and all is well.
