    Will a AR15 gas block work on a AR10?

Dumb question of the day ~

Assuming barrel diameters are the same, will a AR15
gas block work on a AR10 style rifle, (or rather would the AR10
    function).

For some reason I have in the back of my head that
the AR10 gas tube is a slightly larger diameter....

    TIA
    Seriously missing the 80's.....

Armalite, RRA, and DPMS 308 gas tubes are the same outer diameter as an AR 15, so yes you can use the AR15 gas block.

      Yes.

Barrel diameters are quite often not the same though.

AR-15 and 308 type AR barrels hve been observed to have gas block diamters as follows:

      0.625
      0.750
      0.812
      0.875
      0.907
      0.937

0.750 is by-far the most common size
      Bull barrels are usually 0.937
      AR-10T barrels are 0.875
Alexander Arms barrels are often 0.907

        Gas tube lengths vary though.
Armalite AR-10's use a different length gas tube than AR-15's.

308 AR's also need a gas tube with more bend as the receiver is taller and that puts the gas key further up from the barrel's centerline.
