    POF P308 Ambi bullet button

I'm buying a p308 from a buddy of mine out of state. He put the radlock in but the ambi side still functions. How do I get this lower legal in California.

Have him buy a regular mag catch to go with the raddlock, not the button the actual catch that the raddlock threads onto. I had to do this with my POF P415 to make it legal.

I did the same with my P415.
It was a stripped lower. Got the standard mag catch, and put a Raddlock on it.

It has the factory mag catch as well. Not sure what you mean.

The POF mag catch is ambidextrous so you need to buy a mil spec regular mag catch that is what comes with ARs normally. Those will only release the mag on one side. With that part you can reinstall the Raddlock and the mag will only release using the Raddlock. Are you familiar with AR mag releases?

Not that much but I now understand what you mean. So all he has to do is buy a milspec mag catch there, since we can't here, and install the piece that the radlock threads into which will somehow eliminate the function of the ambi side

Is it the brand new version ,then you cannot I think. If all fails, just ship it stripped. Then worry about it later .Thats I how I got mine back in 2000.

It's a gen 4. Brand new. I heard someone else say to take off the ambi button and just leave the hole until something gets made. I don't want a hole in my rifle. Not sure what else to do.

So I got word back from POF and they said they have a special part that deactivates the ambi side. It shipped out, was installed and the ambi side still functions. Back to square one.

                      I'll suggest going featureless.

i have also heard that the newer raddlock gen X will fix this. or also the thordsen kit would work. can anyone confirm?
