Told myself no more evil rifles after the registration of rifles but my urge for a 17s seems to be tipping the scale.... I do have a 16S and goes with me every time I go to the range. Also have an 308 AR with a Fulton a titan upper but I must resist the urge for the 17s....
      BTW this thread isn't helping...

You have done very well. Wait until you pull the trigger. Everything will be right with the world.

Scar17 does nothing for me. Too heavy to be cqb like it's baby brother and not really practical for long range either. If you were into the M1A Scout it might appeal to you. Fills that same role. But if that concept never really floated your boat, then it won't. I am in the later camp. I do dig the Scar16. It is actually deceptively light. Based on it's looks you brace for some heft, then when you're holding it you're shocked by how light it is. Definately cannot say that about the Scar17. That thing weighs as much as a tank! Which surprises me given the short barrel. I also dig the Sig 556...as an addition to not in place of an AR15. I've been tempted to pick one up myself.

But in the end. It is whatever floats your boat. You worked hard for the money. Spend it however the heck ya want. You'll enjoy either immensely.

What Scar did you handle? They weigh 8lbs flat dry.
