    Stainless Steel barrel cleaning

Do you have to clean your stainless steel barrel any differently than a chrome lined barrel? Or can you just use CLP and punch the barrel?

I'm guessing you bought the SS barrel for accuracy. If so CLP is fine for getting the carbon out(although I suggest an actual cleaner for this)

You will have to decopper at regular intervals when you start to see accuracy degrade with a quality copper solvent.

I use Butch's bore shine on my ss barrels. Hoppes #9 is great for carbon fouling but not so much for copper.

Try "Sweets 7.62" it will take all the copper out. You can only leave it in a SS barrel for a short time. It will also eat copper brushes, so a patch, or plastic brush is best. But this stuff works better that anything else for copper fouling.

Don't go overboard. Don't try to scrub your bore down to the bare metal. Do your normal cleaning. Easy on the copper solvent. MPro with copper solvent every so often works for me. Run a CLP patch when done.
