    18" AR-15 upper

Does anyone know where I can get a 18" chrome molly flat top upper for my next AR-15 build. I don't want a stainless barrel. I would be fine just getting a barrel too and building the upper myself.

    Try AR15 Barrels or CMMG.

Build yourself an upper from parts. There are more companies that make 18" barrels than make complete 18" barreled uppers.

It doesn't cost much to cut and thread a barrel. If you can't find an 18" then buy a 20" and have it cut and threaded.

+1 to AR15 barrels. Take it to his place and I bet he'll do it while you wait.

You can order one straight from CMMG.com and customize it however you want.

Don't take a 20" and cut it down. It may become unreliable due to lack of gas pressure in the system. Others tried the same to make dissipators out of 20" rifles and failed.

He's right - if you have someone just cut and thread without adjusting the size of the gas port.

Randall would do that, if you wanted.

If you're set on 18" chrome-lined, IIRC CMMG has one.

I have some 20" barrels in stock that I will be cutting down to 18" and profiling to a medium weight profile.
I have found that this is the optimum setup for 3gun.

The SPR M12 Mod0 and Mod1 both use 18" rifle gassed barrels.
