Rimfires must have an overall length not less than 26" in their collapsed condition and a barrel length not less than 16". Other than that, the rules for centerfire CA assault weapons do not apply.

Also high cap mag rules apply.

Nice rifle and don't want to be a jerk, but don't see the point of a muzzle brake, aimpoint and surefire on a 22. No matter what you put on it, it is a 50 yd rabbit gun. Anyway, if that floats your boat.

The brake might bring it up to the overall minimum length requirement in some cases.

That's an SBR (short barreled rifle).
$200 tax stamp, CA SBR permit (good luck on this one) and the sherriff or police chief needs to sign your application.

As for magazines, large capacity are fine as long as you owned them prior to 2000.
You won't be able to buy them today.

In case anyone's wondering, that stock is a Gen One Evolution made by RB Precision.

I own one of the older models, and they are great stocks.

If they are pre bans then yes you can. Otherwise it's the same thing as centerfire mags. Hi cap mags are hi cap mags. No distinction between rimfire or centerfire. I believe (but not sure) that hi cap tubular rimfire mags that are part of the gun are okay.

Another option for those wanting the AR tactical look in rimfire is this Nordic 10/22 conversion:

I'd recommend that to anyone who says that they like the ergonomics of their gun to be similar to an AR so they can practice.

Underneath the tacticoolness, it is still a 10/22 that will shoot like a 10/22 with an aftermarket barrel, unlike the Spikes uppers/Ciener conversion spray and pray 22s.
